Day 22 of Lent
Giving My Whole Heart to God
Scripture: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 ESV
Today, I reflect on what it truly means to give God my whole heart, not just the parts I’m comfortable with, but even the pieces that are broken, fearful, or unsure. Seeking God isn’t a half-hearted endeavor. The sound of the voices of a children’s choir sings, “My God, Accept My Heart This Day” performed by: Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Children Choir, moves my spirit and fills my heart with the presence of the Holy Spirit through those young powerful expressions of faith through song. God’s presence is found when we come to God fully, in Jesus, when we are open, honest, and hungry for more of God. On this 22nd day of Lent, the scripture from Jeremiah is a reminder for us to go deeper, not just in thought, but in surrender. Lent isn’t merely a tradition; it’s a journey of the heart. It calls us to repent, reflect, and make room, not just for better habits, but for the divine will, way, and purpose of God in our lives. As I quiet my soul today, I’m praying for courage to release every corner of my heart to God. May this season shape me not just for today, but for the journey ahead.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to seek You with my whole heart. Remove anything in me that stands in the way of a deeper connection with You. I give You my life—fully, freely, and in faith. Shape me according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
The journey continues…
Blessings and Peace,
