Day 33 of Lent
“God’s Support and Empowerment”

Scripture: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.”
James 4:10 ESV

Today, I reflect on the powerful truth that when we humble ourselves before the Lord, God doesn’t leave us low, God lifts us up.  The song “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban, is a gentle reminder that God is the One who lifts us to stand on mountains, walk on stormy seas, and live beyond fear. In seasons of challenge or uncertainty, it is easy to rely on our own strength. The scripture reminds the me of the  beauty of Lent is  that surrender is not weakness, it is the beginning of empowerment.  God’s grace lifts us up, guides us, and empowers us to do far more than we could ever accomplish on our own. Through the Holy Spirit, we stand tall, even in the face of adversity. In Jesus’ name, we rise renewed, restored, and ready.  So today, lean on God. Trust in His support. Be encouraged that He will exalt you, not because of your perfection, but because of His love and promises.

Prayer:
Lord, I humble myself before You today. Help me to surrender my pride and my plans. Lift me according to Your will, and empower me to walk boldly in the purpose You have for my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
