Lent Day 33
“Living As God’s People”
Scripture:“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.”
James 4:10 ESV
Today, I reflect on a powerful and transformative question: What might the world look like if we all lived truly as God’s people, God’s children and siblings, united in, with, and through Jesus Christ? The song, “The Prayer” by Pentatonix is a prayer in song about and for such a world. The scripture is how the first century Christian believers I pursued unity in Christ and just maybe we should go back to the basics of the Acts chapter 2 Church. Imagine a world shaped by compassion, forgiveness, justice, and grace—a world where we see each other not as strangers, but as beloved members of God’s family. This reflection calls us into deeper humility and dependence on the Spirit of God to guide our steps toward unity and purpose. As we humble ourselves before the Lord, we position our hearts to be lifted and led by divine wisdom. Let us seek God’s face, not only for personal growth but for the healing and transformation of our communities and the world. This is my prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
The journey continues…
Blessings and Peace,
