Devotion and Reflection
“Joy Unspeakable”

Scripture:  “Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory.” (ESV)

As the Easter season continues to unfold, my soul feels renewed and refreshed. Resurrection is not just an event of the past, it’s a daily invitation to live anew, to embrace the promptings and guidance of the Holy Spirit with fresh expectation each day. Today, I am especially mindful of reclaiming Joy, not the fleeting happiness the world offers, but the unspeakable, enduring joy that comes only from Christ. My daughter recently introduced me to an inspiring song, “Joy (Unspeakable)” by Voices of Fire. The song beautifully captures what it means to live as Resurrection People: people who walk in victory, gratitude, and unwavering joy because of what Christ has done.  Even though we have not physically seen Jesus, we believe. Even though we walk through seasons of uncertainty, we rejoice, not because everything is perfect, but because Jesus is perfect and the promises of Jesus are true.  Today, let us choose to live as Resurrection People rejoicing with inexpressible joy, walking boldly in faith, and  inviting the Holy Spirit to renew us daily.
