“Draw Me Close”

Scripture
“But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.”  Psalm 73:28 ESV.

Devotion
Today, pause and remember: God alone is the true desire of your heart—your source, your satisfaction, the One who faithfully guides you every step. In the warmth of God’s embrace, gratitude arises for spiritual direction, the presence of Jesus, and the precious gift of the Holy Spirit. Whether you find yourself celebrating or seeking, God welcomes you close, drawing you lovingly into divine fellowship and setting your feet on the right path. God is all-sufficient, meeting every longing and every need with unfailing love.

Reflection
The psalmist recognized the beauty of nearness to God above all else. In closeness to God, we find refuge and purpose. Sometimes in life’s distractions and detours, it can be easy to lose sight of this truth. Yet God graciously calls us back, again and again, to intimacy, trust, and deeper relationship. In God’s presence, our restlessness finds stillness, and our hearts are made whole. Like the worship song “Draw Me Close” invites, let us turn to God, asking to be held and led ever closer.  I would love to hear from you.  What are you thankful for today? Pray
Loving and gracious God, You are my heart’s deepest desire. Thank You for Your gentle guidance, for Jesus’ love, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Even when I wander or life feels uncertain, draw me back to You. Renew my trust in Your perfect will and help me find joy in Your presence. You alone are my refuge and fulfillment. May today be marked by thankfulness and a closer walk with You. Use me to encourage others as we walk this journey of faith together. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
