Scripture
“From generation to generation we will recount Your praise.”  Psalm 79:13 ESV

Devotion
I join with the faithful generations before me who taught me to magnify the Lord in Jesus’ name. I think of grandmothers praying, parents singing hymns, church leaders preaching, and friends encouraging me in faith,  all of us part of the same eternal song of worship.  God’s power, love, and authority are so vast that even a thousand hallelujahs would only begin to scratch the surface of the praise He is due.
Each act of worship, each word of testimony, and each moment of faithful living becomes part of a larger, timeless story, one that began long before us and will
continue long after us.  Through the life-giving guidance of the Holy Spirit,
our devotion, worship, and witness weave together the faith of the past,
the obedience of the present, and the hope of the future.  So today, let’s lift our voices, our hearts, and our lives in an eternity of praise together, linking arms with every believer who has ever loved Jesus and every believer yet to come.

Reflection
Who in my life has passed down to me the example of praising and trusting God?  How am I continuing that legacy for the next generation?  Can I see my worship today as part of an eternal chain of praise? Every act of worship is not just for the moment, it is a continuation of the faith legacy we’ve inherited. The voices of those who came before us still resound in heaven’s chorus, and our praise today will inspire those yet to come. When God’s across the generations.

Pray
Creator God, thank You for the faithful witnesses who came before me, teaching me to magnify Your name. Help me to live a life of praise that inspires others, just as I have been inspired. May my devotion, worship, and witness be a bridge connecting generations in the unending song of Your glory. Through the Holy Spirit’s guidance, let my life echo with gratitude, joy, and steadfast faith, today and for eternity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
