Scripture
“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.”  Luke 15:4–5 ESV

Devotion
I am celebrating this new day with a heart focused on God’s unwavering goodness and faithfulness. God is consistently good and will always guide us toward what is right and best. In Jesus’ name, through the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit, God is always working for our benefit, no matter the circumstances.

Reflection
God’s faithfulness is not conditional on our circumstances, it is constant. Just as the shepherd in Luke 15 tirelessly pursues the one lost sheep, our Lord’s love and guidance seek us out when we are wandering, weary, or unsure. This truth should fill our hearts with both comfort and urgency: comfort, because we are never forgotten, and urgency, because we are called to listen, obey, and walk fully in God’s will. Even the smallest promptings of the Holy Spirit can lead us to divine appointments, life-changing decisions, or moments of deep restoration.

Call to Action
🐑Pause:  Pause at least once to intentionally listen for God’s promptings.
🐑Pray: Pray, whether in a quiet moment or while reading scripture.
🐑Trust:  Allow God’s leading, respond in obedience, and celebrate God’s goodness. 🐑Seek: Seek God’s will, rejoice over every good work you seek and find.

Pray
Almighty God, Thank You for this new day and for Your unwavering goodness and faithfulness. Thank You that You never give up on us, but lovingly guide us back to what is right and best. Teach us to pause, to listen for the gentle leading of Your Spirit, and to respond in joyful obedience. Help us to trust Your will completely and to walk in the assurance that You are always working for our benefit. May our hearts and lives reflect Your goodness today and every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
