“At The Feet Of Jesus”

Scripture:
“And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching.”  Luke 10:39 ESV

Devotion
I am resting and celebrating at the feet of Jesus. In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, there is peace in knowing that true comfort and encouragement are found only in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. At His feet, we are not only humbled but also empowered, we learn, we receive forgiveness, and we discover the power to co-labor with God in blessing the lives of others. Just as Mary chose the better portion by sitting at Jesus’ feet, we too are invited into this sacred space of stillness and intimacy. It is here we find everything we need, joy, refuge, security, and divine guidance.

Reflection

Luke 10:39 reminds us that Mary’s posture was intentional, she didn’t let the noise of life drown out the voice of Jesus. She prioritized presence over performance, intimacy over activity. Ask yourself today:  Am I making space to sit at His feet, listen, and receive?  Or have I allowed the busyness of life to distract me from the one thing that truly matters?  As we rest at Jesus’ feet, we are reminded that the work we do with God will always be more fruitful than the work we try to do without God.

Pray
Gracious God, Thank You for the gift of Your presence. In You, I find peace, joy, and the safety my soul longs for. Teach me to choose the better portion, time at Your feet—so that all I do flows from intimacy with You. Holy Spirit, guide my steps, align my heart with Yours, and let my actions bring glory to Your name. May my life be a reflection of Your love and a source of encouragement to others.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
