Wednesday Peace Be With You!
“Surrender What You Can Not Control”
Scripture
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
Devotion
Today, we awaken with fresh mercy and renewed strength because of God’s unfailing love. As we step into this new day, let us choose to give our full focus to God. The weight of life, our burdens, worries, and struggles, does not have to consume us. Instead, we are invited to entrust all things into the care of the One who is more than able. In Jesus’ name, impossible situations can turn around, weary hearts can find rest, and peace can settle where anxiety once lived.
Reflection
Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us of a divine exchange: when we pray instead of worry, God trades our fear for unshakable peace. This peace is not something we earn, nor can we fully understand, it is the supernatural calm that only Christ can provide. Today, pause and ask yourself: What am I still holding onto that I need to release into God’s hands? Have I allowed anxiety to set up camp in my mind instead of letting God’s peace guard my heart? Now surrender what we cannot control, we make room for the joy, rest, and peace that God promises.

Today, I lay down every burden, worry, and fear at Your feet. Guard my heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help me to remember that You are actively at work in my life, bringing joy, hope, and strength. May my thoughts, words, and actions today reflect my trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
