Happy Thursday Peace Be With You!
“Praying For Serenity”
Scripture
“Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace, in peace because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3 NRSV
Devotion
Today, I reflect on the Serenity Prayer, which asks God for serenity to accept the things beyond our control, courage to change the things we can control, and wisdom to know the difference. This prayer is more than words, it’s a daily invitation to trust God deeply. When we surrender our circumstances to God, we begin to see Christ-centered solutions, renewed hope, and divine peace. May we ultimately find joy by knowing God’s will in Jesus’ name and resting in the gentle guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Reflection
The Serenity Prayer is a pathway to freedom. So often, we spend our energy wrestling with things we cannot change or worrying about what tomorrow may bring. God invites us instead to live in the now, to release control where we must, to take bold action where we can, and to lean into His wisdom for the difference. Focusing on the present moment draws us closer to Christ. It allows us to see that every challenge is an opportunity to trust, and every joy is a reminder of God’s goodness. This prayer teaches us that serenity is not escape from reality, it is the ability to face life with faith, courage, and peace in God’s presence.
Call to Action
🕊️Release one thing today that is out of your control, placing it in God’s hands.
🕊️Take one step toward something you can influence through faith in action.
🕊️Trust the Holy Spirit’s guidance for wisdom in your choices.
🕊️ Pray Daily using the prayers I provide or using your words.
Prayer
Gracious God, Thank You for the gift of peace that surpasses understanding. Today, I ask for serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to act where I can, and wisdom to discern the difference. Help me to live in the present moment, to release control, and to trust You fully. May my heart rest in Christ, and may the Holy Spirit guide me into peace and joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
