—“In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.”  Ephesians 6:16 ESV

Devotion
Good Day Lord, Good Day!
As we gather on this blessed Sunday, let us take a moment to consider the invitation to yield—fully offering our lives, desires, and wills to God’s perfect guidance. When we choose spiritual submission and relinquish control in Jesus’ name, we give space for the Holy Spirit to work in us. The Spirit stands ready to guide our steps, shape our character, and bring forth good fruit from our lives.

Reflection

Yielding to God isn’t always easy, but it is the doorway to transformation and true spiritual growth. Each time we surrender our plans and ego, God fills us anew with strength, wisdom, and peace. Through this surrender, our lives are molded for fruitful living and the light of Christ shines brighter through us.  What areas of my life am I still holding back from God?  Am I trusting His will over my own?  How has yielding in the past brought unexpected blessings and transformation?

Call to Action

Will you join me in surrendering all to Him today? Take up your shield of faith and trust that God will extinguish every dart of doubt, fear, and temptation. Embrace the power of the Spirit to guide, protect, and fill you.

Pray
Gracious God, thank You for blessing us with this new day and new opportunities to follow You. We yield our lives, our will, and our desires to You. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit—guide our thoughts, words, and actions. Help us to take up the shield of faith in every circumstance, trusting that You will guard us from all harm. Teach us to rest in the power of surrender, so that our lives may bear good fruit for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
