Advent Day 4 Blessings and HOPE

Scripture
Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. Lamentations 3:22  ESV

Devotion
As Advent unfolds, this is a season to remember that God’s mercy and compassion are new every morning, no matter what yesterday held. The prophet who wrote Lamentations looked at devastation and still proclaimed that the steadfast love of the Lord keeps His people from being destroyed, because His compassion never runs out.In the same way, every sunrise over your life is a fresh declaration that God’s promises remain steadfast, true, and utterly trustworthy. Even in seasons of loss, waiting, or uncertainty, God provides for every need in Christ and proves God’s faithfulness through His Word, the beauty of creation, and the quiet details of your personal story.

Reflection
Think back over your life and notice the places where you could have been overwhelmed, but instead you were held, sustained, or gently redirected. Those moments are not coincidences; they are living evidence that you are not consumed because the Lord’s great love has surrounded you, even in seasons of pain or disappointment.  Advent invites you to name those evidences of mercy so that HOPE becomes more than a word, it becomes a testimony anchored in God’s unchanging character. In doing so, you join generations of believers who, like the writer of Lamentations and the writers of “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” chose to see God’s faithfulness shining

Call To Action
✨Thank God for at least one promise God has fulfilled in your life,
✨Write down how God’s compassion met you and carried you through.
✨Listen to “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” declare your HOPE in Christ this Advent.
✨Share your testimony of a fulfilled promise by God with someone.

Pray
Faithful and compassionate God, thank You that because of Your great love, I am not consumed and Your mercies never fail. Thank You that Your compassion is new this very morning and that Your promises remain trustworthy in every season of my life.  In this Advent time, open my eyes to see the promises You have already fulfilled and the quiet ways You are providing for my needs right now. Strengthen my heart to rest in Your perfect timing, to live with HOPE, and to boldly share my testimony so that others may be encouraged by Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
