Advent Blessings and JOY
Scripture
“Then he said to them, ‘Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength’.” Nehemiah 8:10 ESV
Devotion
Today, I am finding unending JOY and strength in God, in Jesus’ name. God’s presence brings goodness, peace, and victory, transforming our circumstances and empowering us to rejoice always. Scripture reminds us that the joy of the Lord is our strength, a strength not dependent on what happens around us, but rooted in His presence and faithfulness. This divine JOY allows us to rise above challenges and face each day with renewed hope. Even when life feels uncertain, God’s Spirit sustains and uplifts us. When we rejoice in God , our hearts realign with God’s PEACE and purpose, and our faith deepens beyond temporary emotions.
Reflection:
JOY is a holy response to the presence of God. It flourishes when we listen for the gentle promptings of the Holy Spirit and rest in His peace and love rather than chasing fleeting things. Choosing joy is choosing trustbelieving that even in waiting, even in trials, God is working goodness into every detail of our lives.

Pray
Lord, thank You for the gift of JOY that rises from Your presence. Help me to find strength not in what I see, but in who You are. Teach me to rejoice in all things, to rest in Your peace, and to share Your goodness with others. May my heart overflow with gratitude and hope today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
