Advent Blessings and JOY

Scripture

“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:8–9 (ESV)

Devotion
Today I am praising God for the gift of JOY, a JOY that overcomes sin and sadness and calls all of humanity to rest in God as the source of life, light, and eternal gladness. Even during life’s struggles, JOY is not fleeting happiness but a profound, divine gift that brings deep spiritual fulfillment and rest to the soul.In Jesus, we find indescribable JOY, because faith leads to salvation that sustains us through every circumstance. This JOY is secure, constant, and eternal—it flows from knowing that God is with us, even when we are unaware of His nearness. Today, let us rejoice in the Lord and be glad!

Reflection
JOY is not dependent on what goes right in our day, it is dependent on who God is. Every moment of praise strengthens your spirit and strengthens the connection between your faith and the God who saves. True JOY is quiet confidence and deep peace that remain even in life’s storms.  Thank Jesus for your salvation today—out loud and in prayer. Speak His name with gratitude, knowing that His presence is the reason we can rejoice with “inexpressible JOY.”

Pray
Dear Lord, thank You for the everlasting JOY that is found in You alone. Even when I cannot see You, I trust Your presence and rejoice in the salvation You provide through Jesus Christ. Help me to live with gratitude, to share JOY with others, and to rest in the peace that comes from faith in You. May my heart overflow with praise and my life reflect Your light and love this Advent season. In Jesus’ name, Amen,
