Scripture:  “And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15 ESV

As I proclaim “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”  is a day of decision and gratitude! Joshua’s declaration is a bold statement of faith and commitment. When Joshua  stood before the people of Israel, he challenged them to choose to either serve the idols of their past or commit fully to the LORD, the One who had faithfully led them.  Our lives are filled with choices, but none is more important than deciding who we will serve. As believers, we recognize that every blessing, every victory, and every trial we’ve overcome has been because of God’s hand upon us.  Serving the Lord is not just a one-time decision; it is a daily commitment. It’s choosing faith over fear, love over hate, and righteousness over convenience. No matter what the world offers, stand firm in declaring, “Me and my house, we will serve the LORD!”

A Prayer for Today:
Gracious God, thank You for bringing me through the years. I stand today in gratitude, declaring that my house will serve You. Give me strength to be a light in my home, my community, and my generation. May my faithfulness inspire others to trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
