Word For The Day – Surrender

Scripture
“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.”  Psalm 55:22 ESV

Devotion – Living in Holy Surrender
Today, I reflect on “Surrender.” I release my worries and burdens to God, trusting that God will support and uphold me. Scripture reminds us that God will never allow us to be permanently shaken, because God cares for us deeply. “Surrender” is a sacred invitation to let go of anxiety and place every fear and concern into God’s hands in Jesus’ name through prayer and faith.  God not only takes care of the situation, but God also takes care of you. God provides the exact measure of grace and strength needed to endure each trial. As we “Surrender,” we open our hearts to the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit, learning to wait patiently on God for our next steps and trusting God’s perfect timing.

Reflection
When we release what feels heavy, we stop trying to carry our struggles alone.  What am I still holding onto that God is asking me to release today? Where might surrender open space for peace, strength, and renewed trust in God’s sustaining care?

Call to Action
♥️Release one specific worry to God in prayer today.
♥️Pause and invite the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and decisions.
♥️Choose trust over anxiety when challenges arise.
♥️Wait for God’s direction, believing you are upheld by grace.

Pray
Gracious God, today I surrender my worries, fears, and burdens to You. I trust that You will sustain me and never allow me to be permanently shaken. Help me to release what feels heavy and rest in Your faithful care. Fill me with Your peace, strengthen me by Your grace, and guide me through the Holy Spirit as I wait on You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
