 Word For Today – Unity

Scripture:
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!”
Psalm 133:1 ESV

Devotion – The Blessing and Beauty of Unity
Today, I reflect on “Unity.” I reflect on the significance of Unity as a divine blessing that mirrors the relationship between God, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit—a clear understanding of the glory to God. Unity is not merely agreement; it is a sacred harmony that reflects the very nature of the Triune God.  Scripture describes Unity as both “good” and “pleasant.” It is morally right and deeply delightful. When believers dwell together in intentional, peaceful fellowship, it brings joy, fosters strength, and reflects God’s divine love in Jesus’ name. Unity is a testimony to the world that we belong to God. It is faith in action.

Reflection
On this first Sunday of the Lenten season, as we worship, pray, praise, and reflect, we seek Unity—not uniformity, but Spirit-led oneness. Guided by the promptings of the Holy Spirit, we are called to create community through humility, forgiveness, and shared purpose. Unity strengthens the Body of Christ and glorifies God.Where in my life is God calling me to pursue Unity rather than division? How can I mirror the harmony of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in my relationships today? What intentional step can I take  to build peaceful fellowship within my church, family, or community?

Call to Action
🕊️Pray for “Unity”
in your faith community and the  world today.
🕊️Reach out to someone and extend grace, forgiveness, or encouragement.
🕊️Choose words and actions that build up “Unity” rather than tear down.
🕊️Invite the Holy Spirit to guide your actions toward peaceful fellowship.
🕊️Reflect Christ’s love by creating space for community through faith in action.

Pray
Gracious and Loving God, Thank You for the gift and blessing of Unity. Help us to reflect the harmony of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in our lives. Teach us to live in peaceful fellowship, to choose love over division, and to pursue what is good and pleasant in Your sight. As we journey through this Lenten season, guide us by Your Holy Spirit to create community through faith in action. May our lives bring glory to You and demonstrate the beauty of dwelling together in Unity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
