Word For Today – Overflow

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” Psalm 23:5 ESV
Devotion – Living in the Overflow
Today, I reflect on the word Overflow. God, fill me with blessings that “Overflow” and let gratitude rise within me. God is my generous host and faithful protector, providing more than enough, even in moments I least expect it. God offers comfort, refuge, compassion, peace, honor, and abundance, often before I even recognize God’s hand at work in my life. We can depend on God’s divine protection, favor, and the “Overflow” of abundance that comes perfectly in God’s timing, through Jesus Christ, and the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit. This “Overflow” reminds us that our blessings are so abundant, they exceed our needs and stretch beyond our understanding.
Reflection
During this Lenten season, may we be reminded that Jesus prepares a safe and sacred place for us. Christ is both our gracious host and the spiritual nourishment for our souls. Even in the presence of difficulty, opposition, or uncertainty, God sets a table. Even in seasons of reflection and repentance, God pours out grace. Our cup is not barely filled, it is filled to “Overflow” in Jesus’ name.Where in my life have I overlooked God’s “Overflow”? Am I living with a mindset of scarcity, or am I trusting in God’s abundance?
How can I allow gratitude to rise within me today?
Call to Action
💝Pause today and thank God for three unexpected blessings.
💝Trust God’s timing rather than rushing ahead in your own strength.
💝Extend generosity to someone else from the “Overflow” God has given you.
💝Sit quietly in God’s presence and receive spiritual nourishment.
Pray
Gracious and Generous God, thank You for the blessings that overflow in my life. Thank You for preparing a table before me and for anointing me with Your favor. Forgive me when I focus on what is lacking instead of recognizing Your abundance. During this Lenten season, help me to trust in Your divine protection, favor, and perfect timing. Fill my heart with gratitude and let Your overflow pour through me into the lives of others. Through Jesus Christ, and by the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit, may my life reflect Your goodness and grace.
