Word For Today – Grace

Scripture
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”  Ephesians 2:8 KJV

Devotion – Saved by Grace
Today I reflect on Grace and my salvation, recognizing that “Grace” is a free gift from God. It is not something I earned or deserved, yet it was not cheap, it cost Jesus everything. Grace  is not achieved through human effort, good works, or personal merit, but is received through faith in Jesus Christ. This truth reveals the depth of God’s unmerited favor, called “Grace,” and removes any reason for boasting in what we do.

Reflection
God initiates salvation through “Grace” and we respond by faith, acknowledging God’s loving provision in Jesus’ name. Through Christ, God has also given us the Holy Spirit as our daily guide, reminding us that Grace does not end at salvation but continues to shape how we live each day. Where might I still be trying to earn what God has already freely given? How does resting in God’s Grace change the way I view myself, others, and my daily walk with Christ?

Call to Action
🌠Thank God today for the free gift of salvation through Grace.
🌠Release any pressure to “earn” God’s love through performance.
🌠Walk in humility, remembering that all you have is by Grace.
🌠Extend “Grace” to others as God has extended it to you.

Pray
Gracious God, I thank You for the gift of salvation that comes only through Your Grace. Thank You for Jesus, whose sacrifice made this gift possible. Help me to live each day not striving to earn Your love, but resting in the truth that I am already loved and saved by Grace through faith. Guide me by Your Holy Spirit, and teach me to extend that same grace to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
