Word for Today – Obedience

Scripture
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”
John 14:15 ESV

Devotion – Obedience, Love Lived Out
Today, I reflect on submitting to God’s authority through Obedience. True love for God is revealed not merely through words or emotions but through living in obedience to Jesus’ teachings. This obedience flows naturally from a transformed heart and becomes a tangible expression of genuine faith. It draws me into a deeper relationship with God through Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Obedience is an intentional alignment of my actions and life with God’s will. It connects my affection for Jesus directly to following God’s instructions, reminding me that genuine love is never passive it, actively results in faith-centered obedience and a steadfast commitment to a God-inspired way of living.

Reflection
Obediences acts as a guide and paith to genuine faith, showing whether one if we are truly willing to follow Christ or not .  Obediences is an invitation to a deeper, more intimate connection with God.   Ask: Where is God inviting me to move from intention to action today? Obedience is not about perfection but about posture, a willing heart that says “yes” to God, even when the path requires trust, humility, and surrender.
