Word For Today – Confidence
Scripture
“Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what is promised.” Hebrews 10:35–36 ESV
Devotion – Holding Fast to Holy Confidence
Today’s word is “Confidence.” I claim and reclaim my “Confidence” in God, in the name of Jesus and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As I awaken on this final day of January 2026, I place my confidence fully in the power and sovereignty of God. We are reminded not to abandon our bold confidence or our open declaration of faith, no matter how chaotic or challenging the world may be. I have “Confidence” in Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. Now is the time to seek, find, and hold fast to the faithful promises of God, promises that assure us God will never leave us nor forsake us. Endurance in hardship leads to a great reward: deeper fellowship with God, strengthened faith, and a holy “Confidence” shaped through relationship with God. Let this year, 2026, be a call to steadfast faith, renewed “Confidence” in God’s promises, and enduring strength that carries you in the best of times and in the midst of challenges. Trust in God’s abiding faithfulness with “Confidence” today!
Reflection
Be encouraged, you are not alone. Continue to persevere and trust Jesus.Where am I being tempted to let go of my confidence in God? How is the Holy Spirit inviting me to persevere, trust more deeply, and stand boldly in faith today?
Call to Action
✨Declare your “Confidence” in God out loud everyday in 2026.
✨Refuse to release your faith, even in the face of difficulty.
✨Lean into endurance, trusting that God’s promises are sure.
✨Invite the Holy Spirit to strengthen your confidence and courage.
Pray
Faithful God, today I place my confidence in You. In Jesus’ name, I choose not to throw away the bold faith You have planted within me. Strengthen my endurance, renew my hope, and help me to trust Your promises even when the path is difficult. Thank You for Your abiding presence and unfailing faithfulness. Lead me by Your Holy Spirit as I walk forward with confidence in You. Amen.
