“Sunday Sacred Sabbath Blessings”
Scripture: “Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent.” Psalm 71:9 ESV,
This first Sunday of July, my heart is humbled by this truth: **Not for one moment has God forgotten or forsaken me. That promise is real—for all who have said “yes” to Christ and who walk in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Still, I confess, there have been moments when I’ve tried to do life on my own. Times when I forgot to lean on the One who never forgets me. And yet, God remains faithful. Steady. Present. Thank You, Lord, for blessing me, for blessing us, again and again. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Even when our strength falters or our memories fade, God’s promise remains unshaken. This sacred Sabbath reminds us that our walk with Christ is not sustained by our perfection, but by His unwavering grace and presence. Take a moment today to reflect on the times God showed up even when you drifted away. God’s mercy is not dependent on our memory—it’s anchored in His character. Let today be a return to trust, a return to gratitude, a return to the God who never leaves or forsakes.
Call to Action:
Take time today to reach out to someone who may feel forgotten or alone. Share this message. Send a prayer. Speak encouragement. And remind them: **Not for a moment has God forgotten them. Then, recommit your own heart to walking with the Holy Spirit.
Prayer:
Faithful God, You have never forgotten me—not in my youth, not in my strength, and not in my weakness. Even when I have wandered, You have remained. Forgive me for the times I tried to carry life’s weight alone. Renew my spirit this Sabbath. Fill me with the peace of knowing You are always present. And help me to be that reminder of hope and love for someone else today. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
