Claiming the Fire of the Holy Spirit
Spirit-Filled Sunday Devotion
Scripture: “I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Matthew 3:11 ESV
Today, I boldly claim the baptismal fire of the Holy Spirit! God is Sovereign and on the move, working with power, grace, and divine authority. On this Spirit-filled Sunday, I witness how God is stirring hearts, awakening souls, and transforming lives. Just as in days of old, God is once again being declared Sovereign over all**, far above any earthly rulers or systems. This is not just a religious memory; it is a living truth. May the Holy Spirit fall fresh on you today. May you feel God’s presence, power, and purpose rising within you. John the Baptist spoke these words with urgency and awe, pointing to the One who would bring not only forgiveness but **fire**—a purifying, empowering fire of the Holy Spirit. That same fire is available to us today. Are you ready to receive it? Let the fire fall and keep burning!

Almighty God, I pray for the Holy Spirit to baptize me afresh. Ignite my spirit. Use me for your glory. I am ready and willing to answer your call today. Send and guide me, Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
