Lent Day 19
“Calvary”
Scripture: “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12 ESV
As we walk through Day 19 of Lent, our hearts turn to Calvary, place where love, sacrifice, and redemption meet. In the song, “Calvary” by Lynda Randle, the lyrics guide us into deeper gratitude and worship as we remember what Christ has done. Let this time of devotion be a time of remembering the power of the cross, the promise of forgiveness, and the joy of walking in new life. This sacred season reminds us to slow down, reflect deeply, and renew our commitment to repentance. In doing so, we experience the richness of God’s mercy and the forgiveness of sins. Calvary is not just a moment in history, it is a personal invitation. The scripture is a reminder that through Christ, we are offered the gift of salvation, the unearned privilege of being called children of God. That truth transforms us. It moves us from shame to joy, from burden to freedom. Lent becomes not just a ritual, but a journey of devotion, drawing us closer to the One who gave everything for our redemption. In this time of reflection, be reminded that being redeemed is not a one-time feeling, it’s a daily reality. The joy of redemption is alive and real. It whispers to our weary souls that we are loved, we are forgiven, and we belong.
The journey continues…
