Word For Today – Glory
Scripture:
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” — Isaiah 60:1 ESV
Devotion – Arise and Reflect God’s Glory
Today, I pause to reflect on the power and beauty of beginning my day with God’s “Glory” at the center of my heart. In a world filled with uncertainty, God’s “Glory” remains constant—alive, active, and moving me forward into this new day. I refuse to live in despair; instead, my day will reflect God’s favor, and God’s “Glory” will shine through me. Let us be living examples of God’s “Glory” in Jesus’ name by doing good, showing kindness, and reflecting God’s character toward one another. When we live in alignment with God’s Spirit, our lives become testimonies that reveal God’s presence in the world. Let us also drive out darkness with words and songs of praise, giving God the “Glory” for blessing us with one more day. Whatever we do today, no matter how simple or routine, let it be done as an offering of thanksgiving, giving God all the “Glory.”
Reflection
As we continue through this sacred season of Lent, may the Holy Spirit guide us as we are transformed and restored to more clearly reflect God’s “Glory” in Jesus’ name. How can my words, actions, and attitudes today reflect God’s Glory to those around me? In what ways can I intentionally shine God’s light in moments that might otherwise remain dark?
