Word For Today: Transformed
Scripture:
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2 ESV
Devotion – Renewed Minds, Transformed Lives
Today, I reflect on what it means to be “Transformed.” To truly recognize and embrace being “Transformed” in Christ, I must spend intentional time in God’s presence. In God’s presence, all things are made new. As I dwell in God’s truth, I experience daily renewal a shift from worldly thinking to a God-centered, through-Christ perspective. This is what it means to be “Transformed.” This ongoing change enables me to discern God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will. We are “Transformed” “by the renewing of our minds” as a continuous process of aligning our thoughts with Scripture, prayer, and the Holy Spirit rather than the shifting voices of culture, politics, or society. And as our minds and hearts are “Transformed,” we are equipped to invite others into relationship with Christ through love, engagement, and service.
Reflection
During this Lenten season, we are called to seek God’s will for our lives, allowing God’s Spirit to strengthen and renew our minds. Through this renewal, we gain the clarity to recognize what is truly good and acceptable in God’s eyes. What areas of my thinking need to be transformed by God’s truth today? Am I allowing God’s Word and Spirit to shape my perspective, or am I being influenced by the world around me?
Call to Action
🕊️Spend time in God’s presence through prayer and Scripture.
🕊️Identify a thought pattern that needs to be renewed and surrender it to God.
🕊️Replace worldly thinking with a “Transformed” God-centered perspective.
🕊️Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity in discerning God’s will.
🕊️Share God’s transforming work in your life with someone today.
Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the gift of transformation through Jesus Christ. Renew my mind daily by Your Word and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Help me to release every thought and mindset that does not align with Your truth. Teach me to seek Your presence and to discern Your good, pleasing, and perfect will. Transform my heart and life so that I may reflect Your love and draw others closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
