Holy Rebellion of Hope

Devotion
Today, I am reflecting deeply on what it means to rebel for hope. In a world that seems to sell hopelessness, division, and fear, God is calling us to rise as a holy rebellion—not with anger, but with love, compassion, and action.  We rebel against despair when we choose faith. We rebel against fear when we act in courage. We rebel against indifference when we choose empathy.

Reflection
Jesus modeled this Holy Rebellion when He fed the hungry, clothed the naked, healed the broken, and lifted the forgotten. That same Spirit of holy defiance lives in us! Let’s recommit ourselves to be beacons of hope, living reminders that God’s love still moves powerfully through His people.

Call to Action
👟Take one bold act of hope today, feed, clothe, or encourage someone in need.
👟Speak words of faith and empathy where you see despair.
👟Let your life reflect the kind of rebellion that is rooted in compassion and justice.
👟Pray for strength to resist the pull of fear, comfort, or indifference.

Pray
God of Power and Hope, thank You for calling us to live boldly in faith, not fear. Stir within us a holy rebellion that resists hopelessness and reflects Your love in every act of kindness. Help us to see the worth in every person and to live as instruments of Your peace and compassion. May our hearts and actions echo Jesus’ example of serving and uplifting others. Empower us to bring hope wherever You lead us, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
