“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Devotion
Today, reflect on what it truly means to surrender—releasing personal burdens, worries, and struggles into God’s capable hands. Complete trust in God’s plan makes room for the peace and rest only God can give. Surrendering to God, in Jesus’ name, is not about becoming lax or idle. It is active faith: trusting God’s control, while living obediently, faithfully, and expectantly. Letting go does not mean giving up; it means giving ourselves over to God’s care. When we deliberately step aside, God steps in. God handles what we cannot and strengthens us for what we can.

Reflection
Surrender is not passive defeat but active faith in God’s sovereignty. Every worry, every weight, becomes lighter when handed to our Heavenly Father. God’s peace comes not through our control, but through trust and thanksgiving. When we “let go and let God,” we are giving Him permission to move on our behalf and fill us with peace that exceeds understanding.

Pray
God, today I choose to surrender all that weighs me down into Your loving hands. Help me let go of control and anxiety, and trust Your perfect plans. Grant me peace that surpasses understanding and give me strength to obey You each day. Thank You for always stepping in when I step aside. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
