Song of The Day

Happy Friday Blessings!

Scripture
“Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross… and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2  ESV

Devotion
Beloved, take a moment today to fix your gaze fully on Jesus, the One who began your faith and the One who will faithfully bring it to completion. Trust in God’s unseen power and promises, even when your circumstances try to tell a different story. Faith invites you to look beyond what you feel and see, and to anchor your hope in the eternal truth of God’s presence, power, and plan working in and around you. Turn away from distractions, temptations, and the constant noise of the world, and choose instead to center your heart, your thoughts, and your attention on the Savior who endured the cross and now reigns in victory. As you look to Him, remember that faith is not wishful thinking but a confident trust in God’s character and Word, even when you cannot yet see how everything will work out.

Reflection
Choose one word that describes what focusing on Jesus brings to your heart today—peace, clarity, strength, hope, trust, or whatever the Holy Spirit reveals to you in this moment. Let that word become your banner for the day, a quiet confession of faith each time fear, confusion, or discouragement tries to rise. When your mind starts to wander to “what ifs,” gently bring it back to Jesus and to that one word, as a way of saying, “Lord, my eyes are on You.

Call to Action
🕊️Set aside 5–10 minutes today to sit quietly with Jesus, repeating your one word.
🕊️Turn off one distraction (social media, TV, extra noise) for a set time with God.
🕊️Listen to “By Faith” and as you listen, declare that you will trust God’s unseen work.🕊️Share your one word with someone today, by text, email, or conversation.

Pray
Lord Jesus, today I choose to fix my eyes on You, the founder and perfecter of my faith. Thank You for enduring the cross and conquering sin and shame so that I could live anchored in Your love, power, and presence. Help me to turn away from every distraction and every lie that tries to pull my gaze from You. Fill my heart with the word You have given me today, let it shape my thoughts, my responses, and my expectations. Teach me to trust Your unseen work, to praise before the promise, and to walk by faith and not by sight. In Your holy and powerful name, Amen.
