Song Of The Day

God Is Working For Your Good

Scripture
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 ESV

Devotion
On this day after Thanksgiving, when memories of yesterday’s gratitude are still fresh, declare that God is working for your good in every moment, the clearly “good” ones and the ones that feel confusing, painful, or broken. Today, proclaim over your life and your household: God is moving through every broken place to bring breakthrough, healing, restoration, and new possibilities, because God promises to work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.  Because God’s higher ways and sovereign purpose are at work behind the scenes for your ultimate good. Let this post‑Thanksgiving Friday become more than a shopping day or a return to routine; let it be a holy reminder that the same God who blessed you yesterday is working for your good today and will keep working in all your tomorrows.

Reflection
As you consider Romans 8:28, ask where you have been tempted to believe that God is absent because things feel hard, delayed, or disappointing. The promise of this verse does not say that everything that happens is good, but that God is able to weave every piece together for good in the lives of those who love Him and walk in His purpose. Let this truth settle your heart: even the chapters you would never have chosen are being held in God’s hands and folded into His redemptive plan for your life.

Call to Action
📣Declare out loud several times today: “God is working for my good today!”
📣List specific “good” gifts from yesterday’s Thanksgiving.
📣Listen to “For The Good,” surrender one situation and thank God in faith.
📣Encourage someone,  (text, call, or email) with Romans 8:28.

Pray
Gracious God, on this Friday after Thanksgiving, thank You for every visible blessing and for the unseen ways You are working all things together for my good. You see my broken places, my unanswered questions, and my quiet disappointments, and still You promise that nothing is wasted in Your hands. Today I declare by faith, “God is working for my good,” and I invite Your Holy Spirit to inspire my thoughts, guide my steps, and strengthen my trust in Your higher ways. Teach me to recognize Your hand in both the joyful and the difficult moments, and help me live according to Your purpose with courage and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
