Wednesday Blessings and Joy!

Scripture
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.  Romans 15:13 ESV

Devotion
On this first day of October, I joyfully rededicate my life to serving Jesus, called and sent to spread the Gospel and build the Church, guided always by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us lay aside worldly desires and find true joy in helping those in need. May we commit ourselves to speaking truth to power, spreading love, embodying the joy of the Lord, and speaking God’s truth with courage, in Jesus’ name.  Living joyfully in Christ means not only embracing hope for ourselves but also sharing that hope with others. It calls us to serve the needy, stand boldly for justice, and proclaim God’s truth with both love and courage. As we enter October, may our lives reflect the Gospel we preach and the faith we profess.

Reflection
Beginning a new month is a powerful reminder that God gives us fresh starts and new opportunities to live out our calling in Christ. Today, we are invited to step forward with joy, courage, and faith. The joy of the Lord is not found in worldly pleasures but in service, love, and truth. When we lay aside distractions and desires that keep us from God’s work, we make room for the Spirit’s guidance and power.

Call to Action
🌿Dedicate this new month to Christ through prayer and service.
🌿Identify one way today to help someone in need with joy.
🌿Speak a word of encouragement or truth to someone who needs hope.
🌿Lay aside one distraction or worldly desire that pulls you from God.
🌿Embody the joy of the Lord in your interactions today.

Pray
Gracious God, on this first day of October, I dedicate myself anew to serving You.  Fill me with joy and peace as I believe in Your promises. Help me to lay aside worldly desires and embrace the joy found in serving others. Give me courage to speak truth in love, and may Your Holy Spirit guide my every step. Use my life to spread the Gospel, build Your Church, and reflect the hope of Christ to all I encounter. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
