Friday Joy Be With You!

Scripture
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42 ESV

Devotion
Today, I reflect on the beauty of the ordinary, the everyday rhythms of life where faith truly shines. Living out faith isn’t only in extraordinary spiritual gifts or dramatic moments, but in the simple acts of sleeping, eating, learning, working, and caring. Each task, no matter how small, can become an act of worship when offered to God.  Embrace the “ordinary” as sacred today. Let us offer our daily tasks up to God in worship. Be intentional in prayer, Bible study, sacraments, and fellowship. Invite the Holy Spirit to guide our coming and going every day.

Reflection
Sometimes we look for God only in the spectacular, but He is just as present in the quiet, ordinary places of life. The Spirit moves not only in the sanctuary but also in the kitchen, the classroom, the office, and on our daily errands. Every moment is an opportunity to honor God. When we consecrate our ordinary routines to God, in Jesus’ name, they become extraordinary acts of worship.

Call to Action
🫂Begin your day by dedicating your routine tasks to God.
🫂Offer short prayers throughout your day as acts of worship.
🫂Be consistent with Bible study, fellowship, and prayer.
🫂Give thanks for God’s presence in the small, ordinary moments.
🫂Invite the Holy Spirit to guide each step and decision.

Pray
Gracious God, thank You for meeting me in the ordinary. Help me to see every task, no matter how small, as an opportunity to glorify You. Teach me to devote myself to prayer, study, fellowship, and worship in all I do. May Your Spirit guide my steps today, and may my ordinary life shine with extraordinary faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
