Sunday Sabbath Grace Be With You!
Scripture
“For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.”
1 Peter 2:21 ESV
Devotion
This Sabbath Sunday, I’m reflecting on God’s amazing grace and the power of a servant’s heart in Jesus’ name. As we worship—whether alone or in community—let’s make this week one of selfless service, true friendship, and humble love, following the example of Jesus. Let us commit to serving someone this week—through a kind word, an act of generosity, or a simple prayer. And let’s also be open to receiving help from others, recognizing that grace flows both ways.
Reflection
Today’s devotion reminds us that grace and service go hand in hand. Jesus’ life was the perfect model of servanthood. He came not to be served, but to serve. True discipleship means following His footsteps by extending compassion and humility to others. Service is not a burden but a blessing; it’s an outward expression of God’s inward grace. As we serve, we become vessels of God’s love and channels of peace. And when we allow others to serve us, we honor their opportunity to give. Grace flows in both directions, through giving and receiving, in the body of Christ.
Call to Action
🙏🏽Serve someone intentionally this week, offer help, prayer, or encouragement.
🙏🏽Practice humility by receiving help or kindness from someone else.
🙏🏽Reflect on Jesus’ example and ask God to shape your heart to mirror Jesus.
🙏🏽Write down one way you will embody grace in action today.
Pray
Gracious God, thank You for the example of Jesus, the ultimate servant. Teach me to walk in humility, love, and compassion. Help me to see opportunities to serve others with joy and to receive their kindness with gratitude. May my actions this week reflect Your grace and bring honor to Your name. Lead me by Your Spirit to follow in the footsteps of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
