Happy Sunday Sabbath Peace!

Scripture
“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.  For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.”
1 Corinthians 12:12-13 ESV

Devotion
Today, as I prepare to worship in community, I am reflecting on what it truly means to be the Church—the Body of Christ! May the Church rise as a strong and unified spiritual body, where each person has a divine purpose and a vital role in bringing people together through the Peace of Christ that surpasses all understanding. There is great strength in unity, and in carrying out God’s will together, in Jesus’ name and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  As one community of believers, let’s move forward as one body to spread hope, peace, joy, and the love of Jesus, serving as a light that shines brightly for others to see.

Reflection
When we think of the Church, it’s easy to picture a building, but Scripture reminds us that we are the Church. Each believer, uniquely gifted and called, contributes to the greater mission of Christ on earth. Just as the body cannot function properly without each part, the Church cannot thrive without each believer playing their role.  Unity in the Spirit doesn’t mean sameness; it means harmony. Our diversity, when surrendered to God, becomes the very strength that displays Christ’s glory to the world. As we live in peace with one another, love deeply, and serve faithfully, the world sees the living Christ reflected through us.  Today, remember: you are an essential part of something far greater—God’s living, breathing, Spirit-filled Body.

Call to Action
🌄Reflect on your role
within the Body of Christ.
🌄Reach out to someone in your church or community and encourage them.
🌄Commit to one act of unity today, pray, serve, or share love as Christ would.
🌄Offer thanks to God for placing you in a community of faith.

Pray
Gracious God, thank You for calling us to be one body in Christ. Unite our hearts, strengthen our faith, and remind us that every person has a purpose in Your kingdom. May Your Spirit guide us to love, serve, and live in harmony, that together we may reflect the peace and joy of Jesus to the world. Help us to be one body with many gifts, one family with one purpose—to glorify You.  In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
