“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.” 2 Peter 1:3–4 ESV
Devotion
Friends, today I encourage you to rely on the power of God in Jesus’ name and on the guiding presence of the Holy Spirit. In a world full of distractions, uncertainties, and challenges, it is a gift to pause, breathe, and be still, knowing that God is God. The good news is that we are not left to fend for ourselves. God’s divine power equips us with everything we need for both life and godliness. That means in every circumstance whether in joy or in struggle we already have access to the strength, wisdom, and provision we need through Christ.
Reflection
God’s promises assure that every resource, every ounce of strength, and every spark of hope needed to overcome life’s challenges comes from God, in Jesus’ name. Take comfort in knowing that God meets people wherever they are, supplying provision, joy, and wisdom through the Holy Spirit. Lean into God’s promise that you are not alone we are not only strengthened for today but also transformed to reflect God’s divine nature, in Jesus’ name. Let us, then, be empowered people who rise above challenges with joy, share resources to uplift others, seek peace with justice, and live boldly as witnesses to God’s power.
Call to Action
📣Take time today to be still and intentionally rest in God’s presence.
📣Reflect on where you need to lean on His strength.
📣Use your resources of time, encouragement, finances, or gifts, to help someone.
📣Declare God’s promises, trust that God will meet you where you are and lift you up.
Pray
Gracious God, Thank You for granting us everything we need for life and godliness through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Today we surrender our worries and our work into Your hands. Strengthen us to rise above challenges, let joy overflow from our hearts, and guide us by the Holy Spirit to bless others with what You’ve placed in our care. May we be faithful stewards of Your promises, living in a way that reflects Your divine nature and brings glory to Your name.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
