“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” James 1:17 ESV

Devotion
Beloved friends, today I encourage you to lean fully on God, our source of every good and perfect gift. In the midst of life’s chaos, we can rest in the peace and security of the One who brings order, hope, and renewal. Celebrate God as the giver of all good things, pure, all-knowing, and overflowing with unconditional love. What humanity may try to conceal, God shines light upon, revealing hope, peace, and justice in Jesus’ name.  God is ever-present, guiding us through darkness with truth, wisdom, and the light of the Holy Spirit.

Reflection
God’s gifts are not random, they are intentional blessings poured into our lives out of His love and goodness. Unlike shifting shadows, God’s nature does not change. God’s consistency anchors us when everything around us feels unstable.   Consider the gifts in your life today, family, faith, breath, opportunities, even lessons learned through trials. All of these point back to the God of lights. God’s gifts are not just for our benefit but also to bless others as God light shines through us, through Jesus Christ, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Call to Action
☀️Take time today to write down three gifts from God you are grateful for.
☀️Share one of those gifts with someone else, offering encouragement and hope.
☀️Pray for the wisdom to recognize God’s light in the hidden and challenging places.

Pray
Gracious God, the Father of lights, thank You for every good and perfect gift
You pour into my life. When the world feels uncertain, remind me of Your unchanging love and constant presence. Help me to walk in Your light,
to share Your gifts freely, and to reflect Your hope and peace to those
around me. Lead me into the new dawn You have promised, through
the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
