“For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”  Ephesians 5:8 ESV

Devotion
Today is a precious opportunity to embrace the gift of Sabbath with thanksgiving and a renewed purpose to shine for God in Jesus’ name. As worshipers, both gathered and alone, God’s Word becomes our anchor and our guide, lighting our paths through the darkest circumstances. The world often feels shrouded in confusion and despair, but as children of light, Christ calls us to transform our surroundings by reflecting God’s love and truth.

Reflection
It is easy to be drawn into the world’s anxieties, yet God invites us to rise above and let His light shine through us. When we step out in faith, choosing kindness, patience, and hope, we glorify God and help others see His presence. Today, recommit to walking as a child of light, trusting that the Holy Spirit empowers and uplifts every willing heart.

Call to Action
☀️Begin today with gratitude, thanking God for the new day and new mercies.
☀️Commit a few moments to listen to “My Light” or your favorite song to lift your spirit.
☀️Reflect on how you can share the light of Christ, through kindness this week.
☀️Engage in community through service, connection, and prayer.

Pray
Gracious God, thank You for this Sabbath day and for calling us out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Help us prepare our hearts and minds for worship and daily living that reflect Your greatness. Empower us to walk as children of light, shining brightly for Your glory amid the world’s darkness. May every thought, word, and action today honor You and point others to Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
