Song Of The Day

Happy Sabbath Sunday!

Scripture
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”
Proverbs 16:3 ESV

Devotion
Friends, today I pause to reflect on my responsibility as both a God-speaker and a follower, one who has been sent in the name of Jesus Christ. God calls and sends us to actively work toward a more just and compassionate world, inspired by His love and purpose for humanity. As we worship today, whether individually or in community—may our praise lead us beyond words into action: creating a world where suffering is alleviated, needs are met, and every person is treated with equality and dignity. In doing so, we fulfill God’s will and join in ushering in a transformed future through Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Every act of kindness, every effort to lift burdens, every word spoken in truth and love becomes part of God’s work to bring healing and wholeness to the world. Today, may our worship move us from proclamation to participation in God’s kingdom work.

Reflection
When we say “yes” to God’s call, it is more than just a personal statement of faith, it is a commitment to be sent. To be a God-speaker is to bear His Word with integrity and courage, but to be a follower is to walk in humility, obedience, and compassion. This balance calls us into holy action. Worship is not meant to stay within the walls of the church or within our quiet time of devotion; it must overflow into the streets, workplaces, and homes where God’s justice and mercy are desperately needed. Every act of kindness, every effort to lift burdens, every word spoken in truth and love becomes part   of God’s work to bring healing and wholeness to the world. Today, may our worship move us from proclamation to participation in God’s kingdom work.

Call to Action
Begin today with a prayer, asking God to direct your work toward His purposes.
Reflect on one way your worship can lead to an act of justice or compassion this week.
Look for someone in your community who is burdened, and offer support in Christ’s name.
Commit your daily actions to the Lord, trusting He will establish your steps.
Share today’s scripture or song with a friend or family member to encourage them.

Pray
Gracious and Sending God, thank You for calling us not only to worship but also to serve. Help us to live as Your messengers, speaking Your truth and walking in Your ways. Strengthen us by the guidance of the Holy Spirit to work for justice, compassion, and equality in our world. May our lives reflect Your love so that needs are met, suffering is eased, and Your kingdom comes nearer with every step we take.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
