Monday Peace Be With You!

Scripture
“The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts.”
Proverbs 20:27 (ESV)

Devotion
I light a candle during my devotion to usher in the light of the Lord into my day and week. May we each be a light in a world often filled with darkness, indifference, and evil, reflecting the glory of God through love, truth, and good deeds. Our world may sometimes seem overcome by shadows, fear, injustice, hatred, or despair, but as followers of Christ, we are called to reflect His light. When we walk in His truth and embody His love, we carry the flame of hope that can break through even the darkest night.  May the divine light within us illuminate hidden truths and lead others closer to God, in Jesus’ name, through the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit. Pray and reflect with me today.

Reflection
Just as a candle brightens a dark room, the presence of God’s Spirit within us shines light into the hidden and often overlooked corners of our lives. God’s Spirit is not only a source of guidance but also a searching lamp that reveals what needs healing, correction, and renewal.  As you carry out your daily tasks, consider how the Holy Spirit may be nudging you to be a light for someone else—through words of encouragement, acts of service, or simply being present.

Call to Action
🕯️Begin your day with a prayer, inviting God’s light to guide you.
🕯️Share a kind word or act of encouragement with someone.
🕯️Reflect on areas of your life that need God’s searching light and give it to God.
🕯️Let your words and deeds be a visible reflection of Christ’s light in your community.

Pray
God of Grace and Light, thank You for the gift of Your light that shines within me through the Holy Spirit. Search my heart and reveal what needs to be refined. Help me to reflect Your truth, love, and goodness in a world that longs for hope. May my life be a candle that points others to Jesus, the true Light of the world. Guide me today to be faithful, courageous, and filled with peace.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
