Welcome to the inaugural edition of “Just A Thought The Newsletter,” a space for reflection, faith, and connection as we branch out in 2025. Inspired by John 15:5, the newsletter underscores our role as branches, called to bear fruit by staying firmly connected to the true vine—Jesus Christ while being guided by the Holy Spirit reminding us that God is with us.

January Story
In December 2024 I received a tiny spiderwort plant cutting during a Secret Santa exchange. Growing things is not one of my strenghth.  I am always open to learn and it is that willingness to learn that has sparked a journey of nurturing the plant, mirroring my approach to this new chapter of life and ministry.

As a Christian, wife, mother, friend, and retired United Methodist pastor with 31 years of ministry experience, this newletter reflects on how creating and writing my thoughts and sharing those thoughts has always been a way to stay connected and sharing God moments. Now, in retirement, I continue this mission with “Just A Thought The Newsletter” as a way of weaving faith, growth, and intentional living into my new journey.

The takeaway?
Whether tending to a tiny plant, writing a newsletter, or navigating life’s transitions, bold faith and a reliance on God as the true vine enable growth, fruitfulness, and positive impact. I am a Bold Believer, with Bold Faith, Bold Things to Say, and Bold Things to Do.
