Scripture:
“But he said, ‘Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” Luke 11:28 (ESV)

In today’s scripture, Jesus reminds us that the greatest blessing is not just in hearing the Word but in living it out and walking in obedience, faith, and love.  As the first Sunday of February begins, let us take a moment to reflect on what it truly means to be blessed. The song of inspiration, “I’m Blessed,” by Charlie Wilson, is an acknowledgment that blessings are not just about material wealth or smooth paths; they are about God’s presence, God’s grace, and the gift of God’s Word that guides our steps. Sometimes, we get caught up in the world’s definition of blessings—measuring them by success, comfort, or tangible gain. But true blessings flow from a life rooted in God’s truth, a heart that seeks Him daily, and a spirit that trusts in His promises even in the waiting.
