A Reflection on Freedom and Gratitude

Scripture:  “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1 ESV

The song of inspiration “Oh Freedom” – ZO! Gospel Choir,  May my life be a testimony of the freedom I have received. May I stand firm, never returning to any form of bondage—spiritually, mentally, or emotionally. May I always be a reflection of God’s love, justice, and truth in the world.  Freedom is both a gift and a responsibility. Christ has set us free—not just from sin, but from anything that seeks to oppress, burden, or enslave us. Yet, freedom is not a license for complacency; it is a call to action. Today, I honor the legacy of those before me by living boldly and using my freedom as a catalyst for positive change.  I pause to give thanks for the freedoms I enjoy and the sacrifices made by those who came before me. I remember the ancestors of my faith, who clung to God’s promises in times of trial, and the ancestors of my ethnic heritage, who fought for justice and equality. Their struggles and victories have paved the way for my journey, and I will not take this freedom for granted.
