Today’s Song Of Inspiration
Sunday Morning Devotion & Reflection
Sunday, February 16, 2025
Happy Sunday! Praise the Lord!
“Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
Matthew 6:26 ESV
As we rise this morning, let us set our hearts on worship and thanksgiving. Today is another gift from God, an opportunity to reflect on God’s goodness and faithfulness. Jesus reminds us in today’s scripture that worry has no place in our lives when we trust in God’s provision. The birds do not stress about their next meal or hoard resources out of fear. Instead, they live in the assurance that their Creator will provide. If God is faithful to care for them, how much more will God take care of you? No matter what we face, we can take comfort in knowing that the same God who cares for the sparrows cares even more for us.
Devotional Thoughts
The song of inspiration Why We Sing” by Kirk Franklin, is a beautiful reminder that we sing not because everything is perfect, but because God is good! Our praise is our testimony, our faith in action. We often carry the weight of life’s uncertainties—finances, health, relationships, and the future. But God’s Word calls us to shift our focus. Instead of worrying, let us worship. Instead of doubting, let us trust. The Lord, who knows even the number of hairs on our heads, sees our needs and meets them according to His perfect plan. Let today be a day of joy, gratitude, and praise! Walk confidently in the knowledge that God is taking care of you. He is Jehovah-Jireh—our Provider.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for Your unwavering love and care. Today, I release my worries and place my trust in You. Help me to worship with a heart full of gratitude, knowing that You are my provider. Just as You care for the birds, I know You are watching over me. Let my faith grow stronger, and let my life be a reflection of Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
