Today’s Song Of Inspiration
Tuesday Devotion: Bridge Over Troubled Waters
Tuesday, February 18, 2025
Scripture: “No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 8:37-39 (ESV)
Reflection:
Romans 8:37-39 reminds us that no hardship, suffering, or depth of despair can separate us from God’s love. We are more than conquerors! Not because of our own strength, but because of Christ, who loves us beyond measure. Life brings seasons of trouble, uncertainty, and loss, but through it all, God remains our bridge—carrying us over troubled waters. Today, as I reflect on the challenges I have faced, I recognize the helping hands that lifted me up: God’s grace, the kindness of others, and the strength found in prayer. The song Bridge Over Troubled Waters, sung so beautifully by Roberta Flack, has been a source of encouragement during difficult times. It reminds us that we are not alone, that there is always a bridge—someone standing in the gap, ready to help, just as Christ does for us .No matter what you are facing, be reminded: You are not alone. God’s love surrounds you, and His strength carries you.
Think About This Today:
- Who has been a bridge for you? Take a moment to thank God for those who have lifted you in times of trouble. If possible, reach out and let them know how much their kindness meant.
- Who can you be a bridge for? We are called to be reflections of Christ’s love, to stand in the gap for those who are struggling. Pray for opportunities to help, encourage, and uplift someone today.
Prayer:
God, thank You for being my bridge over troubled waters. Thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life to encourage and help me in difficult seasons. Teach me to do the same for others, showing them Your love and kindness. Remind me that nothing—absolutely nothing—can separate me from Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
The journey continues…
Blessings and Peace
