What Wondrous Love Is This?

Scripture:  “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who  lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”   Galatians 2:20 ESV

As I reflect on this third day of Lent, my heart is filled with awe and wonder at the power of God’s love. The scripture lesson expresses the weight of Christ’s sacrifice is both humbling and overwhelming—He gave Himself fully, holding nothing back so that I might live a life transformed by His grace.  Lent is a time of surrender, a season of drawing nearer to the heart of God. Today, I ask myself: What am I willing to give? Not just in the form of temporary sacrifice, but in a way that shapes my heart for lasting change. Am I willing to release my worries, my selfish desires, my need for control? Am I ready to give my time, my love, my service, in Jesus’ name?  The song of inspiration “What Wondrous Love Is This?” by Oddwalk Ministries helps me to ponder and reflect on my responsibility and accountability in light what Christ has and is doing for me  of  of as I seek guidance in what to lay down, I pray for a spirit of openness. Lord, refine me. Help me to let go of anything that stands in the way of living fully in You. May I not simply observe Lent as a ritual, but experience it as a journey of love—a journey of becoming more like Christ, who gave Himself for me.
