“The Power of the Cross”
Scripture: “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 ESV
As we journey through this Lenten season, today calls us to pause and reflect on the weight of the cross. The song “At The Cross” a congregational hymn by BrothaRollins reminds me that the light of Christ that I now have came at a very costly price. The burden of sin mine, yours, and the entire world’s was placed upon Jesus. The reality of this sacrifice is both sobering and humbling. Romans 5:8 reminds us that the cross is not just a historical event; it is a divine act of love. While we were still lost, broken, and undeserving, Christ willingly paid the price for our redemption. This ultimate display of love calls us to examine our hearts, acknowledge our need for grace, and respond with gratitude and devotion. How does this truth shape your life today? As you reflect, let your heart be stirred by the depth of God’s love for you.
A Prayer for Today
God, I am in awe of Your great love. Thank You for sending Jesus to bear my sins and give me new life. Help me to live in the light of this sacrifice, walking in humility, love, and gratitude. May I never take the cross for granted but embrace the power of redemption found in Christ alone. Amen.
The journey continues…
Blessings and Peace,
