“God, My Rock”

Scripture:  “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8 NRSV

As we continue this Lenten journey, today we pause to reflect on the strength and stability of our foundation: God. In a world where change seems constant and uncertainty can shake us to the core, we are reminded that God is our rock, steadfast, immovable, and unwavering in love and truth.  Jesus Christ, our Savior, remains the same throughout all time. His character doesn’t shift with culture, His promises don’t expire, and His love does not waver. When we plant our feet on the foundation of Christ, we are anchored in something, someone, that will not fail. This Friday, let the words of the hymn “Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me” by Lor draw you closer to this truth. Rest in the   cleft of the Rock. Let His unchanging presence quiet your anxious thoughts and steady your steps.  No matter what you’re facing today, know this: God is your Rock. He is unyielding in goodness, unmoving in love, and unchanging in His desire for what is best for you.
