Word For Today – Joy
Scripture
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11 ESV
Devotion – The Fullness of Joy
Today, I reflect on the word “Joy.” I thank God for the fullness of “Joy” found in each new day through a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. True “Joy” is not dependent upon temporary things, changing circumstances, or what the world offers. As we seek God through devotion, prayer, reflection, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we discover peace in God’s presence. God makes known the path of life, directs our steps, and reminds us that we never walk alone. Today, may we draw near to God and receive the fullness of “Joy” only God can give.
Reflection
Where have I been looking for “Joy”? Am I depending on circumstances to make me joyful, or am I drawing near to God and trusting that true and lasting “Joy” is found in God’s presence?
Call to Action
🌄Seek God through prayer, Scripture, and quiet reflection.
🌄Follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance throughout the day.
🌄Choose Joy even when circumstances are changing.
🌄Trust God’s direction when you cannot see the entire path.
🌄Rest in God’s presence, remembering that you never walk alone.
🌄Share Joy by encouraging someone who needs hope today.
Pray
Gracious God, thank You for this new day and for the fullness of Joy found in Your presence. Thank You for Jesus Christ, who gives me hope, peace, and abundant life. Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, words, decisions, and steps today. Help me not to search for lasting fulfillment in temporary things or changing circumstances. Draw me closer to You and teach me to trust the path You have prepared for my life. When I am uncertain, remind me that I never walk alone. Fill my heart with Your presence, renew my hope, strengthen my faith, and let Your Joy overflow through me so that I may encourage others. May I walk confidently today, knowing that true and lasting Joy is found in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
