Devotion – Living with Zeal for the Lord
Today, I reflect on the spiritual meaning of the word “Zeal.” I embrace this new day with “Zeal” filled with thanksgiving, enthusiasm, and passion, anticipating all that God will do in Jesus’ name. Every new morning is an opportunity to serve God with “Zeal” and renewed purpose, allowing the Holy Spirit to ignite my heart with fresh energy for the work God has prepared for me. “Zeal” is more than excitement or emotion. It is a deep, unwavering commitment to God that is demonstrated through faithful obedience, joyful service, and wholehearted love. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to move beyond simply going through the motions of faith. Instead, we are invited to live each day with intentional devotion, eagerly seeking opportunities to reflect Christ in our words, attitudes, and actions. As I interact with others today, I choose to live with spiritual enthusiasm and purpose, striving to be a living example of Christ’s love and grace. Let us answer God’s invitation to be fully committed “all in” when it comes to loving God and loving others. May the Holy Spirit continually renew our passion so that our lives point others toward the hope, joy, and transforming power found in Jesus Christ.
Reflection
May our “Zeal” for God be a burning, passionate, and active love that fuels every thought, every conversation, every act of kindness, and every decision we make. Where is God calling you to renew your passion for Him today? Consider one area of your life where you may have become comfortable or routine. Ask the Holy Spirit to rekindle your zeal so that your love for God overflows into joyful service, faithful obedience, and compassionate love for others.

Pray
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of this new day. Fill my heart with holy zeal as I walk with You. Renew my passion for Your presence and Your purpose in my life. Help me to serve You with enthusiasm, faithfulness, and joy through the power of the Holy Spirit. Guard me from complacency and spiritual indifference, and ignite within me a burning desire to love You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. May my thoughts, words, and actions reflect the love of Jesus Christ so that others will see Your goodness through me. Give me courage to serve wholeheartedly, wisdom to follow Your leading, and compassion to love others as You have loved me. Today, may my life bring glory to You. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
