Word For Today – Wise

Scripture
“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
Proverbs 2:6 ESV

Devotion – Walking in Godly Wisdom
Today, I reflect on what it means to be “Wise.” I thank God for a new day and choose to seek to make “Wise” choices through Jesus Christ, guided daily by the Holy Spirit. For me to be truly “Wise” is not found in human intellect or worldly success but is a grace-filled gift from God, and I am grateful.  To be spiritually “Wise” is more than information or experience. To be “Wise”  is the ability to discern God’s will and align our lives with God’s truth. In a world filled with competing voices and quick decisions, we are invited to slow down and seek God first. Through prayer, Scripture, and attentiveness to the Holy Spirit, we gain understanding that shapes our choices and strengthens our faith.  Let us seek God in all we do, immersing ourselves in Scripture so we may make “Wise” choices, avoid foolish decisions, and grow in knowledge and understanding of God’s will for us today.

Reflection
As we trust God’s direction, we become living witnesses of what it means to be “Wise” rooted not in ourselves, but in the presence and guidance of God.  What decision or situation in my life today requires God’s wisdom? How might I pause and intentionally seek God’s guidance before responding or moving forward?
